Tooting Bec vs Jersey Bulls

Saturday saw a trip to South London, and in particular to Morden as the Jersey Bulls pulled off a narrow 1-0 win through the headed goal of Ruben Mendes on the hour mark.  In what was an expectedly cagey affair between the division top two.we knew it would be tight as Tooting Bec hadnt lost at home this season whilst Jersey Bulls came into the game on a run of 19 straight wins in all competitions.

Tooting provided the sternest test so far this season and started strongly with the Bulls struggling to get into gear but as the first half went on, the visitors grew into the game and hit the post.  The win sees Jersey extend their lead at the to pover second place Tooting Bec to 23 points.

I would like to express my thanka to both sides for their team info, a thank you to Non League Mike for his roving info gathering during the game, and a massive thank you to our broadcast sponsor for the match – Southern Frontier Cup, whose organiser International Surrey Football Chairman Danny Clarke was my guest summariser. The broadcast wouldn’t have been possible without the help and co-operation of Stefan and his Tooting Bec FC committee so thank you guys…
