Bedfont & Feltham vs Colliers Wood United

As part of the annual Non League Day we commentated at two matches.  Both were being played at The Orchard, home of Bedfont & Feltham and British Airways.

The first match in the afternoon was an all Combined Counties tie in this season Buildbase FA Vase.  The first round proper saw first division Bedfont & Feltham, the home side spring a shock over Premier Division side Colliers Wood United.

In a display that belied their position in the league, the hosts excelled lead by a strong performance by Kelvin Karanja who bagged 2 goals, adding to the Michael Capon strike that opening the scoring on 8 minutes.  Mario Embalo equalised four minutes later before the move of the game brought out the goal of the game.

Striker Capon out wide on the left dissected the visitors defence with a pass out to young winger Charlie Collins on the right flank whose low cross was turned inside Andrew Osei’s near post by the diving header of Karanja.

I would like to give my thanks to Jim Powell, and the committee at Bedfont & Feltham for their help in arranging and supporting the broadcast, as well as Team Manager Adam Bessent for his help too. I also thank the club for the warm welcome given to CWSport Radio.
